Senior Speechmaking Two Halkirk members were part of a Caithness District team which took part in the Regional finals at the Conference. Gail Sinclair (Vote of Thanks) and Stephen Sutherland was (Question Master). The team also included Kathleen Campbell (chairman), Watten Club and Alan Mackay (Speaker) of Forss Club. Stephen was judged the best question master outwith the winning teams. After coming 3rd they will now go forward to the National Finals in Ayr on Sunday 13th February. District 10-Pin Bowling Following the trophy presentation there was a dramatic re-count when Halkirk A were moved from 2nd place to 1st place. The team will now represent Caithness District at the National Competitions weekend in Edinburgh. District Member of the Year Competition Ellen Falconer is the newly crowned Caithness District Member of the Year and will now go forward to represent the county at the National Competitions Weekend in Edinburgh. Also representing the club and coming 3rd in the competition was Darryn Sutherland.
