District Winter Stock Judging Success

After last years dismal showing there was a return to normal service for Halkirk with placings in both the individual and team competitions.  Taking the team honours for Halkirk were an A team of John Anderson, Joanna Hunter and Andrew Mowat whilst the D team from Halkirk came a creditable 2nd.  This was mainly the Mowat team with Angus and Gina being joined by Scott Robertson.  Halkirk C came in 6th with Robert Sutherland, Duncan Macmillan and Jamie Gunn.  The lowest placed Halkirk team contained stock judging legend and club chairman Andrew Gunn who could only amass a paltry 105 points out of a possible 200, yes that's 200.   Joining Andrew in this lowly position were Craig Budge and Louise Wylie-Davies.

Angus Mowat further covered himself in glory for once with a second in the individual but was pipped for the individual crown by fellow Halkirk member, John Anderson of Broynach.  A further success for Halkirk saw the Associates and then the ladies crown scooped by Joanna Hunter.
